Michael’s is a showcase for the cuisine of Chef/Owner Michael Schwartz, with prices designed to encourage frequent dining. This unpretentious bistro seats 75 indoors and 75 outdoors, with another 14 seats at a handsome bar. Doubling as a casual neighborhood dining spot and a culinary destination, the bright, airy space in Grand Cayman's evolving Camana Bay showcases Schwartz’s trademark: new American cuisine at prices designed to encourage frequent dining. Open daily for lunch and dinner, the menu provides choices encouraging everything from a light bite to a multi-course feast. Michael's also takes advantage of the Chef’s decades-long relationships with winemakers to offer diners the opportunity to try a variety of wines.

Alfresco is a gem of a local restaurant with a broad menu of both local and international dishes. The deck, situated on the beach, provides fabulous views of Seven Mile Beach for as far as the eye can see, while the air conditioned restaurant has a bistro feel about it. You can be assured of a good fresh meal here as one of the owners has had 21 years working as a chef while the other is a fisherman. Also a great place to enjoy a relaxing drink or light snack while soaking up the sights and sounds of one of the Caribbean’s most famous beaches.

Morgan’s Harbour (WestBay)

www.morgansharbour.net

My husband and I went to this ocean front restaurant for a nice lunch after seeing Hell and the turtle farm. The seafood crepes were outstanding and the service was the best yet. The ceviche was excellent. The risotto was out of this world. Morgan's Harbor is a charming waterfront spot with a semi enclosed patio that allows you to enjoy the view but stay out of the chill as the evening cools down. The service is top notch. They have a great dinner menu which I feel will become one of the best seafood restaurants on the island. The crowds at Calypso Grill can be large this would be my second choice for great seafood on the island! By the way they are right next door to the Calypso Grill same wonderful Ocean front view and priced right for their great seafood! CimbocoPassengers love their 5 items for 5 dollars breakfasts, which have made them a Best VALue on the island. Their breakfast skillets are filling, made to perfection, and so good. They also have a great lunch and brunch. I have one passenger who fly’s to the island twice a year, and always orders their Caribbean Fire Roasted Shrimp wrapped with fresh Spinach & Apple-wood smoked bacon…with a Cimosa chaser, Cimboco’s rendition of a mimosa. Cimboco’s pound-cake and Key lime cheesecake are the favorites of many. The cafe is a feast for the senses with an exhibition kitchen and wood burning oven. Everything is made from scratch, from the breads and soups to homemade desserts – Cimboco even makes its own ice cream! Think fresh, homemade, fun and family. Call 345 947-2782

Locals have shared with me that Chef Bruno carefully picks by hand the best fish to be prepared at his restaurant. Which always guarantees the freshest seafood entree’s on the island. They have some wonderful feature nights with specials on Crab Cakes, Lobster or NY Steak and Fries and for those interested in other dishes; their menu is full of tantalizing flavor combinations as well as some great classic dishes. The décor is enhanced with an exclusive collection of artwork from renowned Marine wildlife artist, Guy Harvey, whose influence is further felt in the menu selections. Guy Harvey’s pride themselves on their commitment to the long term improvement of fish stocks. You will not find any seafood choices on the menu whose stocks have been over-exploited. Prime is not your ordinary steakhouse; it is an exciting dining experience that is based on the Brazilian art of dining. This unique concept originates from the Southern Region of Brazil, called the Rio Grande de Sul; where the South American cowboys, known as Gauchos, prepared these feasts for their families on the open prairies. Passengers love the Gauchos, or carvers, who frequently approach your table to serve you delicious meats straight from the Brazilian Churrascaria. The whole family can enjoy this awesome experience.
