Ragazzi (meaning ‘good buddies’ in Italian) with its vibrant colors, authentic wood burning pizza oven and central location, it has become a meeting point for family, friends and repeat customers many times over. Ask a local and they will say the food at Ragazzi is exceptional and consistently good. The wine list has won the Wine Spectator Award for Excellence for the last five years, and then in 2010 the wine list won the rare accolade of Best of Award of Excellence, something that will not go unnoticed by Ragazzi's wine aficionados. The service is warm and efficient and because of their convenient opening hours – 11.30am to 11pm, seven days a week, including Sunday lunch – you can drop in and eat no matter what time you are hungry. Anyone eating alone can feel more than relaxed and comfortable enjoying an appetizer or late night snack at the bar. The bar was designed and built in Italy especially for Ragazzi. Yoshi Sushi

Passengers say Yoshi is the ultimate sushi experience on the island! They have a wonderful Japanese environment with excellent service. Passengers love the “Love Boat for two”, which I would strongly recommend for couples! The sushi choices are great including a mango and tuna roll. Passengers have also mentioned the Saki, white tuna sashimi and the seafood hibachi as some of their favorites. One passenger loves their martini bar! Yoshi is not all style over substance: “the sushi is sublime”. Maki rolls are “lightly vinegared” and a “sweet, crisp coated prawn” is “benchmark tempura”. An extremely notable dish is the sesame sea scallops with a shitake mushroom sauce – grilled peppers, leeks and scallops come on a sizzling hot plate with a sauce so good you want a side of rice to mop it up! Be sure to make a reservation in advance as it is always very busy. Chef Yoshi and his team work hard to create fantastic boats of sushi, sashimi, rolls and bowls. The food is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Tai Orchid

If you like the taste of the Orient, and in particular Thai food, then a visit to Thai Orchid is a must as this restaurant is about as close as you can get to Thai cuisine outside of Bangkok. Suladda, the artistic owner, employs Thai chefs to ensure that the food is as authentic as possible and has personally decorated the restaurant with her own paintings and exotic designs on the walls and ceilings. The Thai food is delicious, but if you like Japanese food they also serve sushi and have a buffet on Sundays.

Cimboco
Passengers love their 5 items for 5 dollars breakfasts, which have made them a Best VALue on the island. Their breakfast skillets are filling, made to perfection, and so good. They also have a great lunch and brunch. I have one passenger who fly’s to the island twice a year, and always orders their Caribbean Fire Roasted Shrimp wrapped with fresh Spinach & Apple-wood smoked bacon…with a Cimosa chaser, Cimboco’s rendition of a mimosa. Cimboco’s pound-cake and Key lime cheesecake are the favorites of many. The cafe is a feast for the senses with an exhibition kitchen and wood burning oven. Everything is made from scratch, from the breads and soups to homemade desserts – Cimboco even makes its own ice cream! Think fresh, homemade, fun and family.
Tim Buc Tuu (West Bay)
This quaint restaurant in West Bay is quite the bargain. Folks like to eat breakfast on their way to Boatswain Beach, the Turtle Farm and Hell! They have great Breakfast Wraps made with egg and meat that has been simmered and seasoned to perfection! You cannot beat their prices; they have great service and delicious food. Passengers love their famous grouper (wrap or plate) and the coleslaw is to die for! The location is right on the main drag of Town Hall Road. The inside ambiance is nice with artwork on the walls. Their homemade desserts are good too! Passengers also recommend the chicken noodle stir-fry, sweet chili pork and lemon/garlic/herb grouper. Eat in, take out, or walk across the street to Seven Mile Beach. A great passenger tip was to go snorkel Cemetery Beach and have lunch there.

Passengers are absolutely addicted to their fish tacos and their famous burgers. My husband and I had their tacos, they’re absolutely amazing. All the ingredients were so fresh and they just melted in your mouth. The service was excellent. Other favorites are the Voodoo Shrimp Tacos and their famous signature drink, the Painkiller! They have a great varied menu with family friendly pricing. They have a burger called the Kitchen Sink (a man’s meal in itself)! Everyone loves the complementary free nutella ice cream cones for dessert after any meal. Sunshine Grill is located near SMB, across the street from the Westin but sits behind Sunshine Suites.

Black Trumpet is a favorite passenger pick for they truly are the best deli on the island. One of my passengers loves to eat lunch there and get their corn beef, he said it’s the best he has ever had! Locals and tourist love their cookies! Morgan’s Harbour (WestBay)
My husband and I went to this ocean front restaurant for a nice lunch after seeing Hell and the turtle farm. The seafood crepes were outstanding and the service was the best yet. The ceviche was excellent. The risotto was out of this world. Morgan's Harbor is a charming waterfront spot with a semi enclosed patio that allows you to enjoy the view but stay out of the chill as the evening cools down. The service is top notch. They have a great dinner menu which I feel will become one of the best seafood restaurants on the island. The crowds at Calypso Grill can be large this would be my second choice for great seafood on the island! By the way they are right next door to the Calypso Grill same wonderful Ocean front view and priced right for their great seafood! Several Passengers have endorsed their hefty Jerk Burger served with melted brie with caramelized onion, TO DIE FOR BURGER!

Cracked Conch
My passengers love this casual cafe on the water. They offer Caribbean delights and international fare and have one of the best ocean settings on island. Is a favorite on the water on the East End. Cool breezes rustle the sea grape trees around you, large sea birds dive into the water fishing for sprats right in front of you and though it is rustic the place is truly a delight. The food is as authentic Caymanian love this sleepy sea side treasure. The favorites are her ingredients - fresh fish, conch, welks, lobster and turtle are all sourced locally.
Norma Jean's BBQ and Her Dad Chef John!
“Is a must do” quotes a frequent flyer! She sets up on Thu, Fri, Sat at the West Bay Public Dock. Wonderful, wonderful BBQ! Several folks drive from all over just to get this family’s BBQ!! Her dad is the famous Chef John who sets up his BBQ at seven mile public beach. Chef John is locating his BBQ center in Bodden Town on Thursdays and Saturdays. Hope to get more details. This Cayman restaurant was my first introduction to the local cuisine. This isn't strictly Caymanian food, but it is Caymanian owned and operated. They basically have barbecued chicken and ribs served on a bed of beans and rice. The barbecue sauce is great; I like it mixed a little with the beans and rice.

First opened its doors in Cayman in December 1988 and has grown to become a popular dining experience for both local residents and visitors alike. Legendz Excellent Sports Bar
My passengers that stay at the Westin and the Ritz love the convenience of this sports bar. Locals consider it the best sports bar on the island. With huge TV screens surrounding the room, there is not a bad seat in the house. All the best games from the North American leagues and International sports are shown and with comfortable booth seating and a huge bar, with a built in family area. Macabuca ocean side tiki bar is quickly becoming Cayman’s hotspot for live musical entertainment. This quaint restaurant in West Bay is quite the bargain on the island; folks like to eat breakfast on their way to Boatswain Beach, Turtle Farm and Hell! By the way they have all you can eat pancakes for $5.00! They have great breakfast wraps made with egg & meat that has been simmered and seasoned to perfection! You cannot beat their prices; they have great service and delicious food. Passengers love their famous grouper (wrap or plate) and the coleslaw is to die for! The location is right on the main drag of Town Hall Road. A great passenger tip was to go snorkel Cemetery Beach and have lunch here.
